the weeks are just flying by....
i can't believe we are one third of the way through december
aaah!
we had our homeschool christmas party last week
we made pockets for the salvation army
my two little ones bedazzled their pockets in Boise State colors
let's hope whoever get's their pockets is a fan
my little pizza maker
landon, mauryn, and i went to the zoo last saturday morning to visit santa
it was a chilly morning with temps around 30 degrees
we were thankful that santa was inside
it gave us a few minutes to warm up
mauryn was super nervous to see santa so landon held her hand while we waited in line
so sweet!
on saturday night the girls and i went to the living nativity at a local church
the first thing mauryn wanted was to get her hot chocolate
hot chocolate makes the cold night worth it
morgan's take on kim's christmas bunting
i love how cute the buntings turned out
we spent an afternoon at the ice rink
mauryn was very thankful {so was her mama} for the skate mate
after we finished ice skating we stopped for a little post skating snack
landon and mauryn shared a caramel apple from rocky mountain chocolate factory
they have the best {and biggest variety} of caramel apples
so good!
we stopped in at macy's to write santa letters
they donate $1 for every letter to the make a wish foundation
if you have a mace's close by stop in and drop off your letters
or you can write them there
they have post cards, pencils, and comfy chairs
i love that my little people love to help in the kitchen
we spend a lot of time cooking and baking together
i whipped up a batch of chocolate peanut butter balls for mel's cookie exchange
so easy
so yummy
so dangerous
i need to step away from this bowl
i picked up this book while we were at macy's
it might be my new favorite christmas story
i may have gotten choked up a time or two while reading it to the kids
tonight CBS will be airing the movie
check it out!
its really sweet
a few years ago i saw denise's post about giving at christmas
i stole took her idea for the 12 days of the christmas and started it at our church
it has been so fun to bless the socks off a family in need over the 12 days leading up to christmas
last night i got the tags prepped to go on the gifts... it already starts next week
what?? we are on the final countdown to christmas
the little miss is going to be a flower girl in a wedding TONIGHT
we had the rehearsal last night
mauryn was very excited
she got herself dressed and did her hair herself
she was so nervous
i had strict instructions to NOT look at her
she did a great job
we'll see how the actual wedding goes tonight
how was your week?
are you feeling reading for christmas??
