Advent: Day 3

Star Wars Lego Calendar:

Activities:
go to claus and paws at the zoo
go to the living nativity

phew!  it has been a crazy busy day and i am ready to collapse into bed.

landon, mauryn, and i got up and out the door this morning for claus and paws at the zoo.
it was a chilly morning but these two were on the move and didn't mind the chilly morning {it was about 30 degrees}

i think landon ran from one exhibit to the next

while Mauryn tried her best to keep up with him.

there was quite a bit of excitement over the animals in the exhibit.
"look mom, there are 3 in here"

 of course we had to take a break for a few turns on the slide at the monkey house

after a quick trip of visiting all the animals, we went on the search for santa.
i realized today i think this is the first time mauryn has ever visited santa.
she was a little nervous and held landon's hand in line the entire time.
once it was their turn she didn't stop chatting with santa

once the visit with santa was finished we made a mad dash for home
morgan had her first gymnastics meet of the season this afternoon.
{she skipped the zoo as she didn't want to be in the cold before her meet}
we made it home in time to get morgan's hair done and eat a quick lunch.

after her meet, we dropped landon off with lance at the boise state football game.  the boys were headed to the boise state basketball game tonight {free admission with your football ticket #FTW}

the girls and i stopped at the church down the street for their annual living nativity.

mauryn loved sipping hot chocolate during the play

and petting the donkey.
 this is one of our favorite things to do during the christmas season.
its a sweet and simple.

Bible Verses:

Arise, shine, for your light has come,
   and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.
See, darkness covers the earth
   and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the LORD rises upon you
   and his glory appears over you.
Nations will come to your light,
   and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
The sun will no more be your light by day,
   nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the LORD will be your everlasting light,
   and your God will be your glory.
Your sun will never set again,
   and your moon will wane no more;
the LORD will be your everlasting light,
   and your days of sorrow will end.
Then all your people will be righteous
   and they will possess the land forever.
They are the shoot I have planted,
   the work of my hands,
   for the display of my splendor.
The least of you will become a thousand,
   the smallest a mighty nation.
I am the LORD;
   in its time I will do this swiftly.” Isaiah 60:1-3, 19-22

Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
   my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him,    and he will bring justice to the nations.

This is what God the LORD says—
the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out,    who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it,    who gives breath to its people,    and life to those who walk on it: “I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness;    I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you    to be a covenant for the people    and a light for the Gentiles Isaiah 42:1, 5-6

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23
