I did something out of character two weeks ago.
I made arrangements for my kids/family, packed a suitcase, got on an airplane, and met a blog friend turned real life friend in Portland, Oregon.
I could write a long post or series of posts on our time in Portland but instead you get something better. Denise, vlogged (video blogged) our time together so I am going to leave you with a few pictures to look at while your popcorn is popping (the videos are a little long) and get ready to be part of our trip to Portland via vlogs here, here, and here.

Looks like a great trip....I would have never known that area to be so neat!
I'm just glad we all (my kids & myself) have gotten to know you and your family via blog, pen pals, etc......maybe someday it will lead to something else!

Isn't it fun to have a friend who brings out our crazy side? My SIL Sarah is that way for me. Just from watching the vlogs, I can see how Denise might be that way for you :)

good for you to get away....I would love a weekend to hang with a girlfriend like that. I don't usually do much out of character. I am impressed for you stepping out of your norm!
