Bible Verses: flight to egypt 

When Israel was a child, I loved him,

And out of Egypt I called My son. Hosea 11:1

Thus says the Lord:

“A voice was heard in Ramah,
Lamentation and bitter weeping,
Rachel weeping for her children,
Refusing to be comforted for her children,
Because they are no more.” Jeremiah 31:15

Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. Matthew 2:16

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,  Matthew 2:13-14

Activity:

make pom pom ornament

sundays are busy

so i try to keep our advent activity for sundays pretty low key

 this ornament was low key

easy

 fun

and all the kids could do it on their own 

that's a win win for me!

 they were quick to make and turned out cute

the kids loved putting them on their tree
