yes that would be the inside of my refrigerator! GRR!
I came home from a big Cost*co run to find my refrigerator at a balmy 70 degrees. I called the S.ears repair center and the earliest they could come was this morning. My wonderful neighbor offered her garage refrigerator for anything that would fit in there. The kids and I took a few loads of food over there and I managed to squeeze a few things in our garage refrigerator (since I had just stocked up at Cost*co there wasn't much space). What didn't fit in those two places in now in the trash. Our warranty from S.ears covers loss of food, so anything we had to throw out will be reimbursed to us by a check. It could have been much worse. I am thankful we had a place to put most of the food, I have the opportunity to thoroughly clean the refrigerator (looking at the bright side), and that we bought the warranty when we purchased our refrigerator!
The repair man did come this morning (yeah!) and the evaporation motor had burned out. He replaced the motor and now the refrigerator is running at a normal temperature. Now, I am off to collect my food from the neighbors refrigerator.
Ugh! I hope you didn't have to throw away anything that actually took time to cook/bake. Glad it is fixed and that you were able to find a bright side to a not so fun situation.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great attitude you had during the process, though, as inconvenient as it was. Glad that all is fixed for you!

ReplyDeleteWhat a pain. Now if it will just get to be 70 degrees outside...
